Process

1.Initial Meeting

In this very first step, we work with you to identify your requirements, inspirations and aspirations for the project. We will listen to you to understand all of your needs and expectations then consider this information when planning creative solutions. After this meeting we will provide you with a “Return Design Brief” that will allow us to craft a project that is reflective of you.

3.Schematic Design

With the Return Design Brief and Site Analysis in hand, we can begin to pinpoint the essence of the project and produce design concepts. We present our preliminary ideas using drawings, 3D renderings and inspirational imagery, then you will provide us with feedback. We refine the design based on your comments. We will then present the conceptual design for your final approval.

5.Construction Documentation - Builder Selection

The developed design is advanced into a set of drawings, schedules & specifications. This phase includes technical drawings, specification of finishes, fittings, equipment and general design instructions. This package of documents provided will be suitable for procuring a builder as well as obtaining a building permit.

2.Site Analysis / Survey

This second step will help you will gain an understanding of the feasibility of your project and allow you to make decisions with confidence.Once we know each other, we need to get to know your space. We go on-site to note down all important information to inform our design, we list your specific needs & spatial goals, we review local council planning requirements and outline the typical project process and discuss an estimated timeline.

4.Design Development

With mindful attention to space, style and function, the approved concept design is developed into a package of drawings & documents to more adequately explain the design intent. The information produced during this phase is suitable to obtain a preliminary cost estimate. The outcome of this phase will also allow a seamless transition into Town Planning preparation if required or Construction Documentation.

6.Construction Quality Control

We act on your behalf during construction to ensure the building is built as per the contract documentation, as well as manage and assess the quality and workmanship of the built outcome. To ensure you stay up to date, we provide regular reporting on time, cost & progress. This results in a more streamlined and less stressful process for our clients whilst achieving a high quality design result.
